ANNI /SHRENI DEWANI...BLOGGERS POSTING WHO CLAIM TO KNOW THE COUPLE

BLOGGER POST........I am sure I operated on the flight bringing the Dewanis back from Mumbai where they were married. When I saw the photo of them, and read the awful news, I looked for some details, and sure enough it said they had married in Mumbai two weeks before their honeymoon. The reason I remembered her so well, was because she looked so unhappy. One of their party asked if they could be seated together on the flight as they had just got married, and they had been seated across the aisle from each other. She however did not want to move, and at one stage she was in tears. One of my colleagues brought her some tissues. The couple did not speak ONE word to each other during the 9 hour flight. We all noticed and found this strange. When I saw she had been murdered, and read the story I have to say I was suspicious. She was a beautiful looking girl, polite and mannerly. What a horrible tragedy. I have been keeping a close look at the news to see what the outcome is. Does anyone know if this was an arranged marriage???

BLOGGER POST..

Guys – I have known the groom for over 15 years-he did not kill her/was not involved in the killing. So just cut the stupid speculation. I know it sounds exciting and something out of CSI for you guys, but you’re all on the wrong track here and need to back off ando allow a man to grieve in his own personal way. This is a family of means and there is a lot of substance and kindness to them. This is also not ‘new money’ in the family and this bank debt issue has been totally blown out of sorts -what entrepreneur does NOT use bank money to seek expansion? Get real – these guys have probably taken a generational view towards business. What every one is silent about is whether he even stands to benefit in any way from her demise? Sure, he has said a few silly and naive things about the driver, which he probably shouldn’t have but we all know that Africa can be a cruel, cruel place, lets face that – I have lived there for most of my growing up and life generally has no value when it comes to money and wealth. This lady was at the wrong place and around circumstances simply turned pretty badly against her.

BLOGGER POST
  • Morning ALL,….. Just read in the local newspaper here that Anni’s father is quite frustrated @ not knowing HOW his daughter died.. According to reports the father has spoken to the “son-in-law” who is giving TWO (2) different versions of how they ended up in GUGU… The other day the media said that that father in law is standing by Shrien YET TODAY when asked for comment he & an “uncle” has been quoted as saying.. : “At this stage we CANNOT include OR EXCLUDE anyone”… WHAT DOES THIS MEAN??… Are the family starting to have doubts as well..???… Pressure from the media suggestions OR GUT instincts….. Uhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm .. I wonder…

  • BLOGGER POST… I do appreciate your loyalty to the “groom” since you know him for a while .. YET you refer to the newly wed bride (now deceased) as “this lady”..??.. Any reason for that??.. Is it also just being “silly & naive” like the hubby… LOOK.. Lets be real.. pal or not.. U WERE THERE .. IN THE CAR… IT HAPPENED “LIKE THIS”… Plain & SImple.. Stick to the FACTS & then you wouldn’t find us here “speculating”… YES.. AFRICA is not crime free SO are every other country in the world BUT do you not think that blaiming Stats @ a time like this just diverts attention from THE TRUTH…??..In Life sometimes when people CANNOT handle the truth they go in denial… Well, whatever it may be.. I HOPE this case gets solved soon SO THAT the BEAUTIFUL & GRACIOUS ANNI may rest in peace.

  • BLOGGER POST:

  • I meant ‘this lady’ with utmost respect and whilst I never had the pleasure of meeting with Anni personally, she is also niece to my cousin and am actually severely jolted with the events that happened. No, I was not in the car… of course not – and you’re right, lets deal with the facts – there are a lot of unanswered questions. But the facts will come out at the right time – that Shrien had nothing to gain financially from this – quite the contrary, his life has been gutted from losing a life partner this soon after the wedding.
All I’d suggest is that let investigations happen as they are supposed to – you’ re relying on the internet for “facts” whilst others do have the advantage of knowing, at a more personal level, the people affected by this tragedy and regard them ALL as a very loving family.
As humans, what we should be offering at this time is not gossip, or speculation that only serves to inflamme a situation that is already very volatile, but prayers to the departed soul and every strength to her father, mother who loved and brought her up – and also her husband and his family, who would be in a terrible state currently.

    • BLOGGER POST:  , thank you for visiting and for your comments.
My sympathies and condolences to the family and friends of Anni.
The tragic death of Anni in such unusual circumstances was bound to attract attention outside of South Africa.

    • As I have said in my latest post on the matter, much of the suspicion about the groom’s role in events stems from his own inconsistent and contradictory statements of what happened.
    • Some of these, I suggest, may be the consequence of the stress and grief he may be experiencing affecting his ability to recall things clearly and in their proper sequence. Other apparent inconsistencies may be the result of the way the questions were put to him or the way his answers have been recorded/edited.
There remains still, though, some fundamental inconsistencies that are difficult to understand
